This combination of Ofloxacin and Ornidazole is active against wide range of bacteria both gram positive and gram negative. Ofloxacin belongs to the class of fluoroquinolone and Ornidazole belongs to class of anti protozoas.
Mechanism of action
Both these drugs act by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of the bacteria and protozoa. These are absorbed completely in the G.I tract.
